Manager/Supervisor

Job Responsibilities:
- Greet all guests with professionalism, warmth, and hospitality reflective of the Mott 32 brand.
- Manage guest arrival and seating with a focus on flow, timing, and maximizing the guest experience.
- Anticipate guest needs and preferences, addressing requests or concerns promptly and courteously.
- Maintain a polished, confident presence at the host stand and throughout the entrance area.
- Build relationships with returning guests and VIP clientele, ensuring personalized service and recognition.
- Oversee daily reservations through platforms such as SevenRooms or OpenTable, adjusting seating charts and pacing as needed.
- Coordinate closely with management, servers, and the bar to ensure smooth table turns and efficient flow.
- Monitor, update, and manage waitlists, quote accurate wait times, and communicate effectively with guests.
- Collaborate with management on special seating requests, large party bookings, and private dining arrangements.
- Lead, train, schedule, and support the host/guest services team to ensure consistent, exceptional performance.
- Maintain high standards of grooming, communication, and professionalism among all front-door staff.
- Provide coaching and performance feedback to team members as needed.
- Ensure host stand procedures, opening/closing tasks, and communication standards are followed.
- Uphold brand standards for service, hospitality, cleanliness, and organization at the entrance/host area.
- Ensure accuracy when managing guest notes, dietary restrictions, allergies, and VIP profiles.
- Assist with coordinating special events, buyouts, and high-volume nights.
- Maintain effective communication with the management team regarding guest feedback, operational challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in high-volume fine dining or luxury restaurants.
- Experience in reservation systems such as Sevenrooms or Opentable.
- Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
- Experience in wine service, preferably court of masters standards.
- Proven ability to maintain high standards under pressure while ensuring consistency and efficiency.
- Strong food and beverage product knowledge
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
